Join us for Sporesight's pilot Rot Retreat! Three days in nature to practise the ancient art of decomposition.
Rot Retreat is a deep immersion into how fungal thinking. Together we will learn from fungi — nature's hero decomposers — how to let go of what isn't serving (in a rot ritual), and how to find new forms of value in what we break down (by practicing decomposition).
You will let something go in a campfire rot ritual, and learn how to reframe collapse as intentional decomposition. Together we will decompose the infrastructures of the collective imagination (or, work solo if you prefer) - what you've been carrying, what's extractive in how you work, and what regenerates when it decomposes.
You’ll ease away radicalised with renewed possibility. You will leave with a practical toolkit and having acquired Sporesight: the capacity to imagine plural futures, act with agency in uncertainty, shift from dreading endings to authoring them, decompose the extractive, and grow what regenerates from the parts.
Our location is an off-grid regenerative farm nestled in southern Portugal - offering co-living, regenerative courses, volunteering opportunities, sustainable farming experiences and peaceful farm stays in nature. Nearest airport is Lisbon - 2 hour drive or 4 hour bus.
