Meet the founder, Jess
For two decades I’ve worked in strategic insights - agencies and client side, helping 200+ global brands to consciously consider consumers and cultures. But my commitment to nature (and mushrooms) were calling for more.
Our world is facing pivotal uncertainties yet we’re plagued by ‘business as usual’. So I set off on a world mushroom research tour to understand how fungi are impacting our futures.
I’ve learned how, with foresight, nature and fungi’s templates can empower us to build better futures together.

Why fungi?
Fungi are fun. They offer a model for better ways of being - in our personal lives, in business and our relationship with the planet. Metaphorically, they’re a source of wisdom and mind-expansion helping us reimagine and shape good futures. Why foresight?
Foresight is critical to innovation and strategy. It’s the art of anticipating and preparing confidently for uncertain futures. Understanding what’s driving change is the foundation for sustainable innovation and strategy initiatives. By looking through a fungi lens, we show that there are other possibilities: radical new ways of approaching these challenges.
OUR APPROACH
We blend strategic expertise with an adventurer’s mindset. We use the world of FUNGI: their biology, their culture and their organisational structure as a lens for new ways of thinking. We’ve developed a set of insight spaces rooted in Spore-tel, the intelligence of nature and mushrooms. They’re a metaphorical lens to expand minds, shift perspectives, and bridge gaps between intention and action. They are nature’s templates for sustainable, regenerative solutions to innovation and sustainability strategy.
